# zclock(1)

Clock applet for the GNOME desktop environment

## NAME

zclock - Clock applet for the GNOME desktop environment

## SYNOPSIS

**zclock** \[*options*\] *files*...\
 **bar** \[*options*\] *files*...

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the **zclock** command. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. Instead, its documentation is accessible by right-clicking on the running applet and selecting "Help" from the menu.

**zclock** is a clock applet for the GNOME desktop environment. It is similar to the standard GNOME clock applet, but it allows greater customization. You can choose your preferred border style as well as specify the exact format for the time display (using a POSIX [strftime(3)](/strftime/3.md) format string). Read your \*nix [strftime(3)](/strftime/3.md) manpage for details on this format.

## OPTIONS

This program follows the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (\`-'). A summary of options is included below. For a complete description, see the Info files.

- **-h, --help**

  Show summary of options.

- **-v, --version**

  Show version of program.
