NAME
xfig-www-browser - display a HTML page using a web browser under X11
SYNOPSIS
xfig-www-browser file.html
DESCRIPTION
xfig-www-browser is a little shell script, which tries to find out which web browsers you have installed on your system and then starts them. xfig-www-browser tries the following browsers with descending priority:
- -
-
netscape
- -
-
skipstone
- -
-
chimera(1x)
- -
-
kdehelp
- -
- -
- -
- -
- -
If the environment variable BROWSER is set, this is used with highest priority. If your browser needs the string file: or something like this in front of the file name, you can define this in the environment variable FILEPREFIX like ``FILEPREFIX=file:''.
If a ASCII browser (links(1), lynx(1), w3m(1), mmm) is chosen, this browser is started in an x-terminal-emulator(1), kterm(1x) or hanterm(1x) depending on your LANG environment variable setting, where `ja*' implies kterm(1x), `ko*' implies hanterm(1x) and all other settings imply x-terminal-emulator(1).
ENVIRONMENT
- BROWSER
-
you can define your favorite browser with this variable, it overrides the priority of the above mentioned browsers.
- FILEPREFIX
-
you can define that your browser needs something like ``file:'' as a prefix of the filename.
- LANG
-
This variable decides what X11 terminal emulator should be used.
