# xcb\_damage\_destroy(3)

Destroys a previously created Damage object.

## NAME

xcb\_damage\_destroy - Destroys a previously created Damage object.

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<xcb/damage.h\>**

### Request function

xcb\_void\_cookie\_t **xcb\_damage\_destroy**(xcb\_connection\_t \**conn*, xcb\_damage\_damage\_t *damage*);\

## REQUEST ARGUMENTS

- *conn*

  The XCB connection to X11.

- *damage*

The ID you provided to *xcb\_create\_damage*.

## DESCRIPTION

This destroys a Damage object and requests the X server stop reporting the changes it was tracking.

## RETURN VALUE

Returns an *xcb\_void\_cookie\_t*. Errors (if any) have to be handled in the event loop.

If you want to handle errors directly with *xcb\_request\_check* instead, use *xcb\_damage\_destroy\_checked*. See **[xcb-requests(3)](/xcb-requests/3.md)** for details.

## ERRORS

This request does never generate any errors.
