## NAME

xbel2bookmarks - converts an XBEL file into various other formats

## SYNOPSIS

**xbel2bookmarks** \[*options*\]

## DESCRIPTION

This program converts the XML Bookmark Exchange Language (XBEL) file to bookmark files for Konqueror, Opera, Lynx, and Mozilla browsers.

## OPTIONS

This program is used internally to provide all files ready-made, so currently there's only very minimal error checking. There are three options, all of them are required. A summary of options is included below.

- **--format**

  Select output type.

- **--output**

  Select output file.

- **--input**

  Select input file.

- Known output types are:

  - **singlehtml**

  Puts all links into one single XHTML 1.1 file, usable by all browsers.

- **splithtml**

  Puts links into different XHTML 1.1 files, sorted by sections.

- **mozilla**

  Puts all links into a file readable by mozilla based browsers (e.g. Mozilla, Epiphany, Netscape Navigator & Communicator, etc.)

- **opera**

  Puts all links into a bookmarks file for Opera
