install and remove xbanner from your xdm configuration

## NAME

xbannerconfig - install and remove xbanner from your xdm configuration

## SYNOPSIS

**xbannerconfig install**\
 **xbannerconfig remove**\
 **xbannerconfig force**

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the **xbannerconfig** commands. **xbannerconfig** takes one of three mutually exclusive options.

- **install**

  This adds  **xbanner** to the configuration of all displays managed by **xdm** but only if *no* display current executes xbanner during **xdm** management.

- **remove**

  This removes all traces of **xbanner** from the **xdm** configuration files.

- **force**

  This forces **xbanner** to run for *every* display managed by **xdm**. It is equivalent to using the *remove* command, followed by the *install* command.
