## NAME

wnseven\_m - CGI program for searching files for sections for wn HTTP server

## SYNOPSIS

**wnseven\_m** *separator\_pattern* *section\_pattern* *file* \[*file*\] *...*

## DESCRIPTION

**wnseven\_m** is a [**perl**(1)](/perl/1.md) CGI program that is part of the [**wn**(1)](/wn/1.md) HTTP server package. **wnseven\_m** searches *file* and produces a **\<ul\>** HTML list of anchors to sections of the *file* containing a match for the regular expression in the environment variable **QUERY\_STRING**. A new section is determined to begin when a line matching *separator\_pattern* is found.  The text of the anchor is taken from the first line of a  section matching *section\_pattern*.

**wnseven\_m** is intended as an Index Search Module of [**wn**(1)](/wn/1.md) (see **http:/doc/wn/module.html**). This requires that the **Search-Module** directive be set in the appropriate *index* file (see **http:/doc/wn/appendixB.html**). For example, for a mail format file *foo in directory* *dir*:
