# vm\_page\_unmanage(9)

make a page unmanaged

## NAME

**vm\_page\_unmanage** – make a page unmanaged

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<sys/param.h\>**

**#include \<vm/vm.h\>**

**#include \<vm/vm\_page.h\>**

*void*\

**vm\_page\_unmanage**(*vm\_page\_t m*);

## DESCRIPTION

The **vm\_page\_unmanage**() function flags that the page should no longer be managed by the VM system like other pages. The page is removed from any page queue it may be on, and after its PG\_UNMANAGED flag is set, the page daemon will ignore it (if the page is currently wired, it will not be removed from its current queue).

Unmanaged pages are used by OBJT\_PHYS objects to provide physical memory backed storage.
