# vm\_page\_flash(9freebsd)

handle the busying and unbusying of a page

## NAME

**vm\_page\_busy**, **vm\_page\_flash**, **vm\_page\_wakeup** – handle the busying and unbusying of a page

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<sys/param.h\>**

**#include \<vm/vm.h\>**

**#include \<vm/vm\_page.h\>**

*void*\

**vm\_page\_busy**(*vm\_page\_t m*);

*void*\

**vm\_page\_flash**(*vm\_page\_t m*);

*void*\

**vm\_page\_wakeup**(*vm\_page\_t m*);

## DESCRIPTION

These functions handle the busying, unbusying and notification of the unbusying of a page.

**vm\_page\_busy**() sets the VPO\_BUSY flag in the page.

**vm\_page\_flash**() checks to see if there is anybody waiting on the page (VPO\_WANTED will be set), and if so, clears the VPO\_WANTED flag and notifies whoever is waiting via **wakeup**().

**vm\_page\_wakeup**() clears the VPO\_BUSY flag on the page, and calls **vm\_page\_flash**() in case somebody has been waiting for it.
