## SYNOPSIS

vfs objects = extd\_audit

## DESCRIPTION

This VFS module is part of the [**samba**(7)](/samba/7.md) suite.

The extd\_audit VFS module records selected client operations to both the [**smbd**(8)](/smbd/8.md) log and system log (using [**syslog**(3)](/syslog/3.md)).

Other than logging to the [**smbd**(8)](/smbd/8.md) log, vfs\_extd\_audit is identical to [**vfs\_audit**(8)](/vfs_audit/8.md).

This module is stackable.

This man page is part of version 4.25.1 of the Samba suite.
