# varkon(1)

a CAD-system with parametric modelling

## NAME

**varkon** - a CAD-system with parametric modelling

## SYNOPSIS

varkon \[--rc \<file\>\]\
        \[--env\]\
        \[--exp\]\
        \[--config\]\
        \[-h\|--help\|-?\]

## DESCRIPTION

VARKON is a high level development tool for applications in the area of Engineering, Computer Aided Design and Product Modelling.

VARKON can be used as a traditional CAD-system with drafting, modelling and visualisation if you want to but the real power of VARKON is in parametric modelling and CAD applications development. VARKON includes interactive parametric modelling in 2D or 3D but also the unique MBS programming language integrated in the graphical environment.

## OPTIONS

- **--rc \<file\>**

  overrides the default user configuration

- **--env**

print the environment special for VARKON

- **--exp**

copy the example to the user directory

- **--config**

some very basic configuration and exit

- **-h, --help, -?**

  print short help and exit

## FILES AND ENVIRONMENT

- /etc/varkon/varkonrc

  The system wide configuration file.

- $HOME/.varkon/varkonrc

  The user's configuration file.

Following are the variables used by VARKON and their Debian locations:

## AUTHORS

The VARKON system was originally developed by a group at the University of Linkoping in Sweden during 1984-86 under the leadership of Dr. Johan Kjellander now the president of Microform AB. Since then the system has been owned, marketed and further developed by Microform AB.

Subsequently the license was changed to GNU General Public License and VARKON was taken over by the CAD research group of the Ärebro University in Sweden.

Stephan Helma wrote this man page Debian from the appropriate html page.
