## SYNOPSIS

**update-rt73-firmware**

## DESCRIPTION

This utility downloads the latest firmware for Ralink RT73 a/b/g WLAN Card and places it as */etc/Wireless/RT73STA/rt73.bin* file.  The utility uses [**wget**(1)](/wget/1.md) and [**unzip**(1)](/unzip/1.md) for downloading and unpacking the firmware image.

## FILES

- */etc/Wireless/RT73STA/rt73.bin*

  contains the firmware image

## BUGS

The script will break if the Ralink website changes dramatically.
