update-linuxconf8

Perform some setup of linuxconf

Usage

update-linuxconf COMMAND

Overview

update-linuxconf is a Linuxconf module for performing a couple of different setup tasks for linuxconf.

First, the askrunlevel tool can be installed on top of /sbin/init so that it can provide its own custom runlevel configuration.
The previous tool can be uninstalled from a system where it has been installed.
A custom Linuxconf /etc/rc script can be installed.
Again, the previous can be removed after it has been installed.
Finally, all Linuxconf modules can be enabled.

Options

This will cause the system to ignore any of the /etc/rc*.d scripts in favour of the custom runlevel tool.

remove-askrunlevel

Remove the 'askrunlevel' tool from on top of /sbin/init.

install-boot

Install Linuxconf's custom /etc/rc script.

remove-boot
