TESTDTCL
testdtcl - program to test and debug .ttml files
SYNOPSIS
testdtcl [-i] [-g globalscript] file
DESCRIPTION
Testdtcl may be used to test out .ttml pages intended for use with the Apache mod_dtcl module, without having to use a web server. It includes the same file parsing code, so it ought to yield similiar results. The testdtcl program also has an option, -i that allows the user to see what global variables have been modified in which portions of the execution (does it occur in the Dtcl_GlobalScript, or the main script itself?).
OPTIONS
- -i
-
Turn on "info", or debugging mode. This prints out a list of the global variables that have been created both by the "GlobalScript" and by the script called by testdtcl.
- -g globalscript
-
Load "globalscript" as the script that would be loaded by the GlobalScript directive in mod_dtcl.
EXAMPLES
testdtcl -g /var/www/globalscript.tcl -i examples.ttml
This runs testdtcl with /var/www/globalscript.tcl as the globalscript on the file "examples.ttml". The -i command tells it to output information about global variables changed.
FILES
/usr/lib/mod_dtcl/infodebug.tcl
Contains the Tcl routines to gather information about global variables.
/usr/lib/mod_dtcl/testdtcl.tcl
Contains replacements for the mod_dtcl extensions to Tcl, namely: hputs, include, setcookie, hflush, hgetvars, and dtcl_info.
SEE ALSO
More information is available on mod_dtcl in the HTML files included with the distribution. Under Debian GNU/Linux, these are installed in /usr/doc/libapache-mod-dtcl/.
