## NAME

tag2qif - Convert a tag-fintrans file into a Quicken Interchange File (qif)

## SYNOPSIS

**tag2qif** **\[-h\]**

## DESCRIPTION

tag2qif takes a tag formatted financial transaction file on standard input and outputs is in Quicken Interchange Format on standard output.

Note that the tagged financial transaction format is described in\
  http://www.paladin.demon.co.uk/tag-types/dsc/fintrans.dsc

There are constructs in the tag-fintrans format which can not be expressed in QIF, for example multi-line descriptions.

## OPTIONS

- **-h**

  Disables normal header processing. If this is not present then the first record is assumed to be a header, and will not be output to the tabbed file.
