# sysconf-rc(8)

pass configuration requests through to sysrc

## NAME

**sysconf rc** – pass configuration requests through to sysrc

## SYNOPSIS

**sysconf** **rc** \[*sysrc\_argument* *...*\]

## DESCRIPTION

The **rc** target of [sysconf(8)](/sysconf/8.md) is a pure pass-through: [rc.conf(5)](/rc.conf/5.md) is [sysrc(8)](/sysrc/8.md)'s domain, and its feature set is a superset of **sysconf**'s, so no option or argument is validated, interpreted, or reordered( ‘--help’ and ‘--version’ included). Every argument except the **rc** keyword itself is handed to [sysrc(8)](/sysrc/8.md) verbatim.

## EXAMPLES

```
sysconf rc kld_list+=i915kms
```

## SEE ALSO

[rc.conf(5)](/rc.conf/5.md), [sysconf(8)](/sysconf/8.md), [sysrc(8)](/sysrc/8.md)

## HISTORY

The **sysconf** utility first appeared in FreeBSD 16.0.
