NAME
stripumap - make a umap file which matches the available font.
SYNOPSIS
stripumap input-encoding X11-font [ new-encoding ]
DESCRIPTION
stripumap is a program that processes an X11 font and creates a umap file for yudit that contains mappings only where a valid font cell exists. What makes this program necessary is the fact the come fonts claim to conform with certain encoding, but some font cells are actually empty.
The program does not display any window, but it needs X11 running in order to query the X11 font.
The resulting umap file is sent to the standard output of the program, please redirect it to the desired umap file. Only ascii umap files can be created with the program.
Stripumap is absolete beaceuse yudit does the stripping real-time since release 0.98.
