start-procmeter(1x)

start procmeter and a number of programs to feed data to it

NAME

start-procmeter - start procmeter and a number of programs to feed data to it

SYNOPSIS

start-procmeter [program [args...]] [program [args]] ... [-- procmeter-args]

DESCRIPTION

start-procmeter cleanly starts procmeter, as well as any number of programs that feed data into it to generate user-defined statistics. It also handles cleanly stopping the feeder programs when procmeter exits. It is possible to start feeder programs manually, but complicated. This script simplifies things a lot.

OPTIONS

program [args]

The feeder program to start up, along with any arguments. start-procmeter looks for the program in the current directory, in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/procmeter/, and on the PATH, in that order.

procmeter-args

Arguments to pass directly to procmeter.
