## NAME

splitter: - creates fast word indexes for use in cachemode

## SYNOPSIS

**splitter** **\[**-w *path***\]** **\[**-f *num***\]** **\[**-t *num***\]**

## DESCRIPTION

**splitter** is a programs that is used to create fast word indexes using data collected by **cachelogd**.  Those indexes are used later in the search process. **splitter** is used by **mnoGoSearch** when using cachemode.

**splitter** is normally not called directly but is called as part of the **run-splitter** script.

## OPTIONS

- **-w** *path*

  choose alternative working directory *path* instead of /var directory.

- **-f** *num*

  start at *num*.log, where *num* is a hex number.

- **-t** *num*

  stop  at *num*.log, where *num* is a hex number

- **-h**,-?

  print help page.
