# somaplayer\_controller(1)

the remote controller of somaplayer

## NAME

somaplayer\_controller - the remote controller of somaplayer

## SYNOPSIS

**somaplayer\_controller \[unix\[://unix\_socket\_file\]\] \| \[tcp\[://server:port\]\]**

## DESCRIPTION

somaplayer\_controller is a tool of administration for somaplayer. With somaplayer you can active the admin interface in unix or tcp socket and with this program (and in graphic mode) you can admin your audio session. somaplayer\_controller uses the libsomaplayer(3). With this tool you can change the volume, the balance, and use the normal audio function like play, stop, pause, next, prev, and so on.

## OPTIONS

- unix

Connect to somaplayer with unix socket. If you don't set any argoment, the software tries to connect to any somaplayer socket opened. The default path is /tmp, so, if your somaplayer uses another path for the unix socket, you don't connect its. You can set the correct path like it:

somaplayer\_controller unix://correct/path.scok

- tcp

Like unix but with tcp socket. The syntax is the same:

somaplayer\_controller tcp://localhost

The normal port of somaplayer is 12421, but you can change it with:

somaplayer\_controller tcp://localhost:12345
