# sinfo\_rec\_detlin(7)

Detector's linearity & non linear bad pixels determination.

## NAME

sinfo\_rec\_detlin - Detector's linearity & non linear bad pixels determination.

## SYNOPSIS

esorex **sinfo\_rec\_detlin** \[OPTIONS\] FILE.sof

## DESCRIPTION

This recipe computes detector non linearities and a bad pixel map.

The input files are increasing intensity raw flats their associated tags should be LINEARITY\_LAMP.

The output are: A table (PRO.CATG=LIN\_DET\_INFO) with information on the detector non linearities A table (PRO.CATG=GAIN\_INFO) with information on the detector gain A cube (PRO.CATG=BP\_COEFF) with the polynomial fit parameters of the detector non linearities A bad pixel map (PRO.CATG=BP\_MAP\_NL)

## OPTIONS

- **--gen-overpar** *\<bool\>*

Overwrite DRS ini parameters: (bool; default: True). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.general.overwrite\_parameters** \[default = *True*\].

- **--lc\_sw** *\<bool\>*

Correct for bad lines introduced by instrument software: (bool; default: False). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.general.lc\_sw** \[default = *False*\].

- **--lc\_kappa** *\<long\>*

Kappa sigma value (long; default: 18). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.general.lc\_kappa** \[default = *18*\].

- **--lc\_filt\_rad** *\<long\>*

Filtering radii applied during median filter. Should be small (long; default: 3). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.general.lc\_filt\_rad** \[default = *3*\].

- **--product-density** *\<long\>*

Density of pipeline products: 0 (low), 1 (low+skycor), 2 (med-QC), 3 (high-debug+skycor) (long; default: 2). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.product.density** \[default = *2*\].

- **--bp\_lin-order** *\<long\>*

Order: order of the fit polynomial = number of coefficents - 1 (long; default: 2). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.bp\_lin.order** \[default = *2*\].

- **--bp\_lin-thresh\_sigma\_fct** *\<float\>*

Threshold Sigma Factor: threshold factor of the clean standard deviation. If the deviations of the linear polynomial coefficients exceed this threshold the corresponding pixels are declared as bad (float; default: 10.0). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.bp\_lin.thresh\_sigma\_factor** \[default = *10.0*\].

- **--bp\_lin-nlin\_threshold** *\<float\>*

Non Linear Threshold (float; default: 0.5). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.bp\_lin.nlin\_threshold** \[default = *0.5*\].

- **--bp\_lin-lo\_rej** *\<float\>*

low\_rejection: percentage of rejected low intensity pixels before averaging (float; default: 10.0). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.bp\_lin.low\_rejection** \[default = *10.0*\].

- **--bp\_lin-hi\_rej** *\<float\>*

high\_rejection: percentage of rejected high intensity pixels before averaging (float; default: 10.0). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **sinfoni.bp\_lin.high\_rejection** \[default = *10.0*\].

Note that it is possible to create a configuration file containing these options, along with suitable default values. Please refer to the details provided by the 'esorex --help' command.
