show channels and nicks registered with IRC services

## NAME

showchans, shownicks — show channels and nicks registered with IRC   services

## SYNOPSIS

**showchans** \[**-f** *data\]  \[***-n***\]  \[***-h-?***\]  \[nick1* / *chan1*\]

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the  **showchans** and **shownicks**       commands.

This manual page was written for the **Debian** distribution  because the original program does not have a manual page.

**showchans** and   **shownicks** are symlinks to the hybserv binary.   Invoked without arguments, they read the default channel or nickname   databases and display all the registered channels or nicknames.   The optional arguments are described below.

## OPTIONS

- **-h** **-?**

  Shows the summary of options.

- **-f data**

  Specify data as the nick.db or chan.db to read from.

- **-n**

  Instead of displaying all the nicks,   display how many registered channels or nicks there are.

- **nick1, chan1**

  Show details on the specified nick or   channel.
