## NAME

shmperm - read and optionally alter the permissions for a shared memory segement

## SYNOPSIS

**shmperm** id permissions

## DESCRIPTION

**shmperm** returns the current permissions on the memory segment specified by *id* and if *permissions* were given, attempts to set the new permissions on the memory segment. The permissions must be given in numeric form and can not be given by letters.
