## NAME

shishi\_crypto\_decrypt - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<shishi.h\>**

**int shishi\_crypto\_decrypt(Shishi\_crypto \*** *ctx***, const char \*** *in***, size\_t** *inlen***, char \*\*** *out***, size\_t \*** *outlen***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- Shishi\_crypto \* ctx

  crypto context as returned by **shishi\_crypto()**.

- const char \* in

  input array with data to decrypt.

- size\_t inlen

  size of input array with data to decrypt.

- char \*\* out

  output array with newly allocated decrypted data.

- size\_t \* outlen

  output variable with size of newly allocated output array.

## DESCRIPTION

Decrypt data, using information (e.g., key and initialization vector) from context.  The IV is updated inside the context after this call.

When the application no longer need to use the context, it should deallocate resources associated with it by calling **shishi\_crypto\_close()**.

## RETURN VALUE

Returns **SHISHI\_OK** iff successful.
