setmixer1

Usage

setmixer [-V] [control value ... .]

Overview

The setmixer program is meant mainly for adjusting values of controls of a soundcard mixer in a startup files and shell scripts. Names of controls are actually taken from <sys/soundcard.h> header file with which sources were compiled. Values of controls are integer numbers in a range from 0 to 100. If control is for a stereo device then, optionally, a value can be given as a `comma separated' pair with a value for a left and right channel (for example -- 80,90). Single number for a stereo device will set the same level on both channels.

Options

-V,

show resulting settings. When this option is used without giving any control value pairs, then current levels of mixer devices is shown.
