## NAME

selinux\_boolean\_sub - Search the translated name for a boolean\_name record

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<selinux/selinux.h\>**

**char \*selinux\_boolean\_sub(const char \****boolean\_name***);**

## DESCRIPTION

**selinux\_boolean\_sub**() searches the */etc/selinux/{POLICYTYPE}/booleans.subs\_dist* file for a matching boolean\_name record.  If the record exists the boolean substitution name is returned.  If not **selinux\_boolean\_sub**() returns the original *boolean\_name*.

## RETURN VALUE

**selinux\_boolean\_sub**() returns the *boolean\_name* or the substituted name on success.  The returned value must be freed with [**free**(3)](/free/3.md). **selinux\_boolean\_sub**() returns NULL on error.
