generates keys to be used with ssh autologin

## NAME

sdm-autokeys - generates keys to be used with ssh autologin

## SYNOPSIS

**sdm-autokeys** *\<filename\> \<username\>* \[*\<key\_type\>*\]

## DESCRIPTION

generates a  [**ssh**(1)](/ssh/1.md) key using [**ssh-keygen**(1)](/ssh-keygen/1.md) for use with autologin the specified  *\<username\>.* the generated key is copied into */home/\<username\>/.ssh/authorized\_keys*

if not specified,  *\<key\_type\>* defaults to rsa.  this determines what type of key will be passed to [**ssh-keygen**(1)](/ssh-keygen/1.md).

## BUGS

assumes location of user home directories and provides no mechanism to change it.
