# saverdsfig(3)

save a physical figure on disk.

## NAME

saverdsfig - save a physical figure on disk.

## SYNOPSYS

```
#include "rtlnnn.h"
 void saverdsfig( Figure )
    rdsfig_list ∗Figure;
```

## PARAMETER

- *Figure*

  Pointer to the RDS Figure to save.

## DESCRIPTION

The *saverdsfig* function writes on disk the contents of the figure pointer to by rdsfig\_list. The savephfig function in fact performs a call to a driver, choosen by the RDS\_OUT environment variable.

## RETURN VALUE

none

## ERRORS

**"Rtl103.h: Unknown rds output format"**

The output format defined by the unix environment variable RDS\_OUT is not supported by the driver (supported formats are "cif" and "gds").

Other errors can appear because the saverdsfig function calls cif and gds drivers.
