# rspfd(8)

Radio Shortest Path amateur radio routing daemon

## NAME

rspfd - Radio Shortest Path amateur radio routing daemon

## SYNOPSIS

**rspfd \[-d \[1\|2\]\] \[-h\] \[-v\]**

## DESCRIPTION

**rspfd** is a special purpose routing daemon that implements the Radio Shortest Path First routing algorithm proposed by Fred Goldstein K1IO. This algorithm (and therefore the daemon) have been designed for amateur radio networks.

**rspfd** can be forced to re-read its configuration file by sending it a SIGHUP.

## OPTIONS

- **-d***\[1\|2\]*

Output to stdout debugging information, the larger the number the more verbose.

- **-h**

  Display some simple help information.

- **-v**

  Display the version.

## BUGS

**rspfd** does not interact well at all with [ax25rtd(8)](/ax25rtd/8.md). It is suggested you do not run these two daemons on the same host.

Currently, there is no facility to run **rspfd** over ethernet, use bpqether to do this.

## FILES

/etc/ax25/rspfd.conf
