# regexplorer(1x)

Experiment with regular expressions; visually see the matches

## NAME

regexplorer — Experiment with regular expressions; visually see the matches

## SYNOPSIS

**regexplorer**

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents the **regexplorer** command.

This manual page was written for the **Debian GNU/Linux** distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

**regexplorer** is an X11 application which uses the QT library that features three important widgets: In the first, one can enter any regular expression. In the second, one can enter any text of any size (although small texts are recommended to improve performance). In the third, the regular expression of the first will be applied to the text in the second widget, and the matches are highlighted.

**regexplorer** can then convert the regular expression into the syntaxis of one of several programming languages, to allow for copy-and-paste of the regular expression in an editor or IDE.
