# regcomp(1)

register a component with OpenOffice.org

## NAME

regcomp - register a component with OpenOffice.org

## SYNOPSIS

**regcomp** **-register** \[ **-r** *applicat.rdb* \] \[ **-c** *foo.so* \]

## DESCRIPTION

This is part of the OpenOffice.org UDK, a component object model used by OpenOffice.org. UDK stands for "UNO Development Kit" and UNO stands for "Universal Network Objects".

**regcomp** is used to register a new component, which is in a shared library, with a database.

Some possibly helpful information is at \<http://udk.openoffice.org/faq.html\>.

## BUGS

This is not well documented. Frankly, the manpage writer didn't understand it very well.

## AUTHOR

This manual page was created by Nathanael Nerode for the Debian project, because the original package does not have one.
