## NAME

readahead-list: - load files into the kernel file cache

## SYNOPSIS

**readahead-list** \[*OPTION*\]... \[*FILE*\]...

## DESCRIPTION

Loads lists from FILE and performs [readahead(2)](/readahead/2.md) on each entry. Sockets, FIFOs, devices and directories are all excluded.

## OPTIONS

- **-v** **--verbose**

  Print name of each successfully loaded file.

- **-d** **--debug**

  Print out status messages while processing.

- **-h** **--help**

  Stop looking at me!

- **-V** **--version**

  As the name says.
