# qmtppush(1)

push mail to remote server over SSH with QMTP

## NAME

qmtppush - push mail to remote server over SSH with QMTP

## SYNOPSIS

**qmtppush** *server* *user* *maildir* *prefix* \[ *sshoptions* \]

## DESCRIPTION

**qmtppush** is a small shell script that uses **stdinxout** to feed contents of a local **maildir** to **qmail-qmtpd** running on a remote host, effectively delivering the messages remotely. This connection is cryptographically authenticated and protected by **ssh**.

I suggest you use an RSA key with an empty password and limited allowed commands for batch mail sending.

## REQUIREMENTS

The local host must have **maildirserial** and **serialqmtp** (from the serialmail package), and **ssh** installed. The local host must have a way to store the messages in the maildir. The remote host must have **qmail-qmtpd** and **ssh** installed.
