# qmtppull(1)

pull mail from remote server over SSH with QMTP

## NAME

qmtppull - pull mail from remote server over SSH with QMTP

## SYNOPSIS

**qmtppull** *server* *user* *maildir* *prefix* \[ *sshoptions* \]

## DESCRIPTION

**qmtppull** is a small shell script that uses **stdinxout** to feed contents of a **maildir** on a remote host to a local **qmail-qmtpd**, effectively delivering the messages locally. This connection is cryptographically authenticated and protected by **ssh**.

I suggest you use an RSA key with an empty password and limited allowed commands for batch mail sending.

## REQUIREMENTS

The local host must have **qmail-qmtpd** and **ssh** installed. The remote host must have **maildirserial** and **serialqmtp** (from the serialmail package) and **ssh** installed, and have a way of storing the messages in the maildir.
