# pyrite-install(1)

install databases on a Palm Computing(R) platform device

## NAME

pyrite-install - install databases on a Palm Computing(R) platform device

## SYNOPSIS

**pyrite-install** *\[OPTIONS\] \[FILES...\]*

## DESCRIPTION

This program installs databases onto a Palm Computing(R) platform handheld, by spooling it for later processing by the Pyrite "Install" conduit. The specified files (which must be Palm databases in the standard prc/pdb format) are copied to Pyrite's data directory, to be installed during the next synchronization run.

## OPTIONS

- **-i, --immediate**

Rather than spooling the specified files for later installation, connect to the handheld and install them right now.

- **-l, --list**

List the databases that are spooled awaiting installation.

- **-U, --user USERNAME**

User name to use when installing, instead of the default specified Pyrite's configuration files. The requested user must exist (see *[pyrite-user(1)](/pyrite-user/1.md)* for more information).

- **-h, --help**

  Print a help message.
