ptktime(1)

ptktime1

Perl/tk time client for x

Usage

ptktime [timeserver]

Overview

ptktime is a time (TCP port 37) client for X, written in Perl/Tk.

It will compare your system's time with a timeserver on another machine.

Options

timeserver

The remote timeserver to compare times with.

Requirements

ptktime requires a fairly up-to-date version of Perl (version 5.002 or better). It also (obviously) requires Perl/Tk. Perl/Tk is available in the Nick-Ing Simmons author directory at CPAN. It is also available as a Debian package.

AUTHOR and BUG REPORTING

ptktime was written by Alan Ford <[email protected]> Please report bugs to that address.

Future plans

At some time I intend to include the facility to set the local machine time to the timeserver's time.
