# ptkei(6)

## ptkei

ptkei - Python TK Empire Interface

## SYNOPSIS

**ptkei** *\[database\]*

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the **ptkei** command. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

**ptkei** is a graphical client for the game of Empire. It stores considerable data locally in the *database* file. See /usr/doc/empire-ptkei for further documentation.

To exit the client, close the main window using the window manager (often the X in the top right corner).

## BUGS

**emp\_hub's** mirror protocols are not yet supported. As a workaround, chain two emp\_hubs together and disable mirroring in the last emp\_hub. Mirror capable clients may use the mirroring hub.

By default **ptkei** attempts creates EmpDB in the current directory. cd to a writeable directory before starting. From the menu system it should start in your home directory.
