## NAME

pthread\_suspend\_np - suspend execution of a real-time thread

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<rtl\_sched.h\>**

**int pthread\_suspend\_np (pthread\_t thread);**

## DESCRIPTION

This function is a non-portable Real-Time Linux extension. **pthread\_suspend\_np** suspends the execution of the thread *thread* until a call to **pthread\_wakeup\_np.** Note: the thread is not guaranteed to be suspended immediately.

## RETURN VALUE

Always returns 0.
