printer - X print manager with drag and drop capabilities
SYNOPSIS
printer
DESCRIPTION
Printer is a print manager program for the X window system. It is intended to give non-expert users an intuitive feeling of the printing system. Printer was built around the BSD printing system and uses DnD (the Drag and Drop protocol by Cesar Crusius) to interact with an expanding set of tools. When used together with magicfilter it gives the users the possibility to print their files without caring about that whole pipeline of filters. Printer can activate a job when a file or raw data is dropped on it and provides easy access to multiple printers in a network or at home. The printer status is updated at regular intervals giving instant feedback to the user. Also, using printer a job can be remove from the printer queue with two mouse clicks.
