**ppmtotga** was replaced in Netpbm 10.6 (July 2002) by [**pamtotga**(1)](/pamtotga/1.md) .

**pamtotga** is backward compatible with **ppmtotga**, but also recognizes PAM input, including that with a transparency channel.
