# pp-userconfig(1)

add, delete, or rename PalmPython users

## NAME

pp-userconfig - add, delete, or rename PalmPython users

## SYNOPSIS

**pp-userconfig** *\[-a NAME \| -d NAME \| -r OLDNAME NEWNAME \| -l\]*

## DESCRIPTION

This program is used to manage users inside a PalmPython data directory. In this case, "user" means a particular PalmPilot, differentiated by its HotSync user name. The PalmPython data directory has one subdirectory for each PalmPilot user, so that you can use the same directory with multiple PalmPilots. The location of the directory is determined from the PalmPython configuration files, so they must be set up before using this program.

With no options, this program will present a simple GUI user editor. (You must have the python-tk package installed for this to work.)

## OPTIONS

- **-a NAME**

  Add a user.

- **-d NAME**

Delete a user. This will remove all data associated with that user, so tread carefully.

- **-r OLDNAME NEWNAME**

  Rename a user.

- **-l**

  List user names.
