phpix instance installer

## NAME

phpix-create-new-instance — phpix instance installer

## SYNOPSIS

**phpix-create-new-instance \[option\] directory**

## DESCRIPTION

**phpix-create-new-instance** is basically a little script to create a new phpix instance in the specified directory by copying from or creating symlinks to the master files in **/var/www/phpix/**.

The **config.inc** from **/etc/phpix/** is copied too and can be use to override the default options locally.

**Note:**

**Copied files aren't updated when a new package of phpix is** **installed.**

## OPTIONS

- **-h**

**Display a short help message explaining the command line options.**

- **-s**

**Symlink phpix files instead of copying them.**

-

**This option guarantees that your local instances always use the** **newest version of phpix. For this mode to work** **FollowSymLinks must be switched on in apache's** **access.conf.**

## SEE ALSO
