## NAME

pg\_getwal - retrieve a WAL file from a pg\_receivewal archive

## SYNOPSIS

**pg\_getwal** */path/to/wal/%f* *%p*

## DESCRIPTION

**pg\_getwal** retrieves and decompresses files from a WAL archive maintained by **pg\_receivewal** and **pg\_backupcluster**. It is put into PostgreSQL's **restore\_command** by **pg\_restorecluster**.
