# pdb\_DeleteRecordByID(3)

short description

## NAME

**pdb\_DeleteRecordByID** – short description

## LIBRARY

*libpdb*

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<pdb.h\>**

*int*\

**pdb\_DeleteRecordByID**(*struct pdb \*db*, *const udword id*);

## DESCRIPTION

**pdb\_DeleteRecordByID** looks for a record in the database pointed to by *db* whose ID is *id*, removes it from the database, and frees the memory taken up by that record.

## RETURN VALUE

**pdb\_DeleteRecordByID** returns 0 if successful, or a negative value otherwise. If there was no record in *db* with ID *id*, that is considered a success, since the record was to be deleted anyway.

## SEE ALSO
