## NAME

Other\_Data\_Types - Other Built-in Data Types

## DESCRIPTION

The following table describes other data types supported by OpenCL:

| **image2d\_t** | A 2D image. See individual [**imageFunctions**(3clc)](/imageFunctions/3clc.md) for more information. |
| **image3d\_t** | A 3D image. See individual [**imageFunctions**(3clc)](/imageFunctions/3clc.md) for more information. |
| **image2d\_array\_t** | A 2D image array. See individual [**imageFunctions**(3clc)](/imageFunctions/3clc.md) for more information. |
| **image1d\_t** | A 1D image. See individual [**imageFunctions**(3clc)](/imageFunctions/3clc.md) for more information. |
| **image1d\_buffer\_t** | A 1D image created from a buffer object. See individual [**imageFunctions**(3clc)](/imageFunctions/3clc.md) for more information. |
| **image1d\_array\_t** | A 1D image array. See individual [**imageFunctions**(3clc)](/imageFunctions/3clc.md) for more information. |
| [**sampler\_t**(3clc)](/sampler_t/3clc.md) | A sampler type. |
| **event\_t** | An event. This can be used to identify async copies from global to local memory and vice-versa. See individual [**asyncCopyFunctions**(3clc)](/asyncCopyFunctions/3clc.md) for more information. |

NOTE: The **image2d\_t**, **image3d\_t**, **image2d\_array\_t**, **image1d\_t**, **image1d\_buffer\_t**, **image1d\_array\_t**, and **sampler\_t** types are only defined if the device supports images i.e. **CL\_DEVICE\_IMAGE\_SUPPORT** is **CL\_TRUE**. The C99 derived types (arrays, structs, union, function, and pointers), constructed from the built-in data types described in [**scalarDataTypes**(3clc)](/scalarDataTypes/3clc.md), [**vectorDataTypes**(3clc)](/vectorDataTypes/3clc.md), and [**otherDataTypes**(3clc)](/otherDataTypes/3clc.md) are also supported with certain [**restrictions**(3clc)](/restrictions/3clc.md).
