## NAME

ostree-checksum - Checksum a file or directory

## SYNOPSIS

**ostree checksum** {PATH}

## DESCRIPTION

Generates a checksum for a given file or directory.

## OPTIONS

- **--ignore-xattrs**

  Ignore extended attributes when checksumming.

## EXAMPLE

**$ ostree checksum file1**
