# nvtvd(8)

backend server to control TV output hardware

## NAME

nvtvd — backend server to control TV output hardware

## DESCRIPTION

nvtvd is a daemon that accesses the TV output hardware. It can be controlled by **nvtv** through two pipes. You can use this daemon  if the user cannot gain root rights to start nvtv.

### OPTIONS

- **-h** **--help**

  print help message

- **-N** **--nvdev**

  enable usage of /dev/nv\* devices

- **-n** **--null**

  use null backend (for debugging)

- **-d** **--debug**

  don't detach from controlling terminal

- **-q** **--quiet**

  no logging
