## NAME

nvme\_submit\_admin\_passthru - Submit an nvme passthrough admin command

## SYNOPSIS

**int nvme\_submit\_admin\_passthru** **(int fd** *,* **struct nvme\_passthru\_cmd \*cmd** *,* **\_\_u32 \*result** *);*

## ARGUMENTS

- fd

  File descriptor of nvme device

- cmd

  The nvme admin command to send

- result

  Optional field to return the result from the CQE DW0

## DESCRIPTION

Uses NVME\_IOCTL\_ADMIN\_CMD for the ioctl request.

## RETURN

The nvme command status if a response was received (see *enum nvme\_status\_field*) or -1 with errno set otherwise.
