mysql\_field\_tell - Returns offset of the field cursor

### Synopsis

### Description

Return the offset of the field cursor used for the last **[mysql\_fetch\_field(3)](/mysql_fetch_field/3.md)** call. This value can be used as a parameter for the function **[mysql\_field\_seek(3)](/mysql_field_seek/3.md)**.

  `result` - a result set identifier returned by **[mysql\_store\_result(3)](/mysql_store_result/3.md)** or **[mysql\_use\_result(3)](/mysql_use_result/3.md)**.

### Return value

Returns the current offset of the field cursor
