# multiCD(1)

program to backup your data to CD-R/CD-RW

## NAME

multiCD - program to backup your data to CD-R/CD-RW

## SYNOPSIS

**multiCD** \[*options*\]

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the **multiCD** command. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

**multiCD** is a program that multiCD provides an easy way to backup a large number of files to multiple CDs. Give multiCD the files/directories you want backed up and it will create as many CDs as it needs to, prompting the user to put in a new disc whenever needed. It can be configured to run in a multi-threading mode, where it will burn one image to a disc while it is copying files to another image. This feature can be disabled for slower machines.

As minimum requirement to run multiCD you have to copy /usr/share/doc/multicd/examples/sample\_multiCdrc to /etc/multiCDrc or ~/.multiCDrc, and customize the settings to your needs.

## OPTIONS

For a complete description, see /usr/share/doc/multicd/multiCD.html, and the comments in /usr/share/doc/multicd/examples/sample\_multiCdrc.
