## NAME

mrd6 - an IPv6 Multicast routing daemon and framework

## SYNOPSIS

**mrd6** \[ **-D** \] \[ **-f** *config-file* \] \[ **-A** \]

## DESCRIPTION

**mrd6** is a multicast routing daemon that supports PIM-SM, MLDv2, MBGP, and others.

## OPTIONS

Options available for the **mrd6** command:

- **-D**

  Forks into the background after init.

- **-f**

  Specifies the configuration file to be used. If this option is not specified **mrd6** will try to load */etc/mrd6.conf*.

- **-A**

  Don't auto-load **mrd6** modules that were built statically.

## FILES

- **/etc/mrd6.conf**

  The default location of the  **mrd6** config file.

## DIAGNOSTICS

**mrd6** will log to the stderr file descriptor, to a log file or through syslog to the system logs. For more information on how to configure **mrd6** check the included documentation.
